The project used to market themselves as open source while under this license, but they’ve been receptive to feedback and made changes since, and no longer appear to refer to themselves as such.
The project appears to have received at least $13.4m funding from a range of investors including Balderton, Inflection, Square One, Script Сapital, Protocol Labs, System.One, Connect Ventures, Techstars, Acequia Capital, Early Grey Capital, Tiny Vc, New Forge, Foreword Vc, S16VC. The project also receives funding from donations in addition to paid hosted variants of their application.
