The project is provided under an AGPLv3-based license which is mixed with (incompatible) extra rules & requirements which limit use & distribution means relative to what FOSS provides. Some parts are then provided under a custom enterprise license.

The project still refers to itself as open source in many area, like these take from its homepage:

It is open-source software, but even better.

These issues were raised to them, although an official response was never provided. It looks like they may have since started using “source available” more in their content, like their project readme, but they still also call themselves open source as mentioned above.

The project appears to have raised $2.8m in investment from Blackbox Connect.
