The project is provided under an AGPLv3 license, with some parts provided under a non-open enterprise license.
The largest issue here is the mixing of code under incompatible licenses.
The project was previously provided under an Elastic License 2.0, during which they were open-washing by advertising as being open source. This was raised but this resulted in being blocked from interacting with the project.
The project appears to have raised at least $4.7m of funding from investors which include Runa Capital, 468 Capital, Rheingau Founders and co-founders of Tekion. The project also gains revenue from providing it’s software as a service, and for providing paid variations.
